Illegally "pirating" movies has been illegal for a long time. Now with the internet, DVDs, counterfeiting movies is more popular then ever. Warner Brother is a media company that is complaining directly to the government.
They want to stop online pirating, because they are losing about 250 million dollars every year, out of 10 Billion. Their latest idea was to pass an act made by Lamar Smith, that would essentially destroy the internet.

The music industry is also getting hurt by pirating, the artists are losing money, and we have to fight together to stop piracy.
