The US government has been trying give corporation more power. Their latest law that they're trying to pass is CISPA. It is similar to SOPA in that it allows any internet provider, email provider, Facebook, and other things that we use to get access to all of our info, and use them without further consequences. Companies can get access to all of your emails, and use them maliciously against you, without you being able to counter-sue them.
This law would allow big companies to force sites like Yahoo, Google, and YouTube, to take down things that they do not like. CISPA has a high chance of getting passed because many big corporations are supporting it, for example Facebook, AT&T, and many others. There is also a media block out on most news sources, and there isn't much opposition against it like there was for SOPA.
